Come and enjoy the pumpkin carvings.

Annual Pumpkin Walk - October 31st

This family event is a great way to celebrate the spirit of Community as many volunteers and local organizations work together to provide a safe and fun environment on Halloween Night.

Beginning at 5:00 pm, join us at Riverside Campground to view over 350 lit jack-o-lanterns, showcasing the talents of our students and community members who have carved the pumpkins.   As you meet many old and new friends be sure to visit our volunteers handing out candy along the way, and stop for a cup of hot chocolate at the end of the route.

We cap off the evening with an aaahhh-some display of fireworks--the only one you'll see in Vanderhoof.   At 8:00 pm be sure to gather with the other 3000 people to view the spectacular display reflected in the waters of the Nechako River.

This event is sponsored by businesses and the community.  If you are interested to learn how you can help, please call the Vanderhoof Chamber of Commerce at (250) 567-2124 for more details.

Annual Parade of Lights and Midnight Madness
November 30, 2007

Don't miss viewing the largest Light Parade in BC.  That's right--the annual Parade of Lights has been recognized on local and provincial television for it's beauty and size.  Be sure to come out this year and see the floats all aglow as they glide through the streets of downtown Vanderhoof.

Call the Chamber of Commerce to inquire about registering your float for this parade.  (250-567-2124)

Keep an eye out for Santa too!  Each year the big guy takes time out of his busy schedule to visit the children of Vanderhoof.

Don't forget that shopping in Vanderhoof is open until Midnight on this special night.  Many specials and hourly sales are offered throughout downtown Vanderhoof to help you complete your Christmas shopping.
