Water System

The Fort St. James Community Water System is
one of the largest public aquifer systems in Canada.
Serves Fort St. James and Nak'azdli Reserve.

 

 

Sanitary Sewer

The Fort St. James Sewer System serves Fort St.
James and Nak'azdli Reserve.

Garbage Collection

The municipal garbage service provides weekly
garbage pickup for residential properties and
more frequent service as needed for businesses.

Waste Transfer Station

The transfer station is located on Necoslie Road
and is a service of the Regional District of Bulkley
Nechako.

Hours are 10:00 to 6:00 Sunday through Friday,
8:00 to 6:00 on Saturday, Closed Statutory
Holidays.

The transfer station also accepts many items for
recycling
; there is also a "re-use shed" for unwanted
items that may be useful for someone else.

Bottle Depot

Located behind the ambulance station on Manson
Street, the bottle depot accepts most beverage
containers for recycling and refunds your deposit. 
Open Tuesday through Friday, 10 am to 5 pm, and
Saturday 10 to 4.
