Project Description: $1.6 million upgrade to airport to allow for 24/7 landings and takeoffs. The upgrades will allow medevac flights any time.

Project Title: Dressing Room Expansion and Arena Renovations
Project Description: This overhaul of the Vanderhoof Memorial Arena includes in its 4,880 square feet of expansion and refurbishing:
* Building of two auxillary dressing rooms to include wheelchair accessible showers
* Building of a referee's room
* Creation of a hallway between the arena and dressing rooms
* Upgrade of flooring in the canteen area
* Water system upgrade with applicable sewer upgrades

Project Title: Vanderhoof Community Signs
Project Description: Vanderhoof Community Signs, both aesthetic in design and visible 24 hours per day with lighting, will create a “welcome sign” to travelers from both the west and east on Highway 16. Elements of the Nechako Valley environment are captured in the artist’s rendering. Funders of the project will be recognized on the stonewall supporting the painted wooden sign.

Project Title: Stoney Creek Footbridge
Project Description: A foot bridge over Stoney Creek is being constructed from an old rail car. This footbridge links trails systems in the District, usable by walkers, hiker and bicyclists. This project also includes hiking and trail map, being produced with high quality graphics and information for the District of Vanderhoof region, invaluable to locals and visitors alike.

Project Title: Vanderhoof Municipal Airport, Rehabilitation of Runway 07-25
Project Description: Runway Rehabilitation Option C, for runway 07-25 incorporates the following improvements:
* Rehabilitating the entire length – 1529 metres
* Rehabilitating to a width of 23 metres
* Surface to incorporate 100mm crush and 65mm asphalt
* PLR rating of 6 to support regular use by aircraft like the Dash 8, Convair 580, Beech 1900, medevac contract planes, smaller business jets and fire fighting aircraft.
* New markings, signage
* Engineering & mobilization/demobilization
